Description:
The Literacy Assistance Center is proud to announce its Certificate Program in Teaching English as a Second Language to Adults (TESLA). This special program based on current
theory and best practice totals 36 hours, accompanied by a 32-hour teaching practicum. Participants in the program will use the online MOODLE course management system (no prior experience necessary).
The LAC TESLA certificate serves as an initial qualification for:
Anyone considering a career in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages Anyone who has been teaching adult literacy ESL without formal qualifications Anyone who wishes to develop an additional specialization in teaching ESOL.Tuition for the Summer Intensive 2010 Certificate Program is $1050, including a deposit of $150 that must be submitted with the completed application form.
